Over the last several years I had been noticing little red veins popping up on nose and for most of that time I didn't really think much of it. I figured everybody gets these things on their noses after they hit 40 years old so it wasn't a big deal to me. Gradually though I started to notice the veins popping up on my cheeks to, I wasn't to keen on this though since it made me look like I was drinking or mad 24/7. So I finally decided to ask my dermatologist what I could do about the problem and she told me that a "pulsed-dye laser" could help get rid of the offending veins. I went ahead with a series of treatments and I am happy that I did. It costs a few hundred bucks but I think it was well worth it. Now I am no longer red in the face and my dermatologist told me that I need to wear sunblock everyday to stop them from coming back, a small price to pay.

I had varicose veins on my legs and my doctor recommended that I get sclerotherapy to get rid of them. I went through with the injections and while it did get rid of the big varicose veins I developed some smaller spider veins around where I was injected. I was warned this might happen, so I wasn't too upset about it but it did mean that I had get additional treatments with laser. But a few months later and a few hundred bucks lighter I am vein free. It was a bit of a pain in the neck to do all this but I am happy with the outcome.
